You can’t expect to look great all day if you are starving
before you leave the house in the morning. Sure, wearing hot fashionable earrings
and necklaces
from Mest’ique Boutique are helping your outward appearance, but true beauty
starts from within. So take a few moments of your morning to start your day off
right.
Fruit and Cheese
Of course, fruit is good for you! It’s a bonus that it’s
tasty too. Fruit provides your body with natural sugars to get you energized. Cheese
is an excellent source of calcium and protein. You can toss this all in a zip
lock container or plastic baggie and hit the road. Also, consider a handful of
granola or your favorite nuts, such as walnuts or almonds.
Fresh Fruit Smoothie
Ok, so this is not 100% fresh, but it’s as close as
possible. Sometimes we intend on eating fruit daily and it sits around our home
and rot. Eww. So, I always buy a large bag of mixed fruit. It comes with peach
slices, whole strawberries, and blackberries. There are many combinations out
there or you can just purchase a single fruit item. Purchase a container of
low-fat yogurt (I generally purchase Vanilla flavored). You’ll also need a
container of OJ.
So in the mornings, just grab a few pieces of fruit and
throw in the blender. This allows it to thaw out a bit to blend smoothly. Then,
before you hit the door, add a ½ cup of yogurt, ½ cup of OJ, and a drop or two
of honey if you’d like. Then blend and pour into your to-go cup.
Have a Taste of Italy
I love Italian bread and generally keep some around the house.
You can add a fresh fruit spread, cream cheese, or peanut butter. Another good
choice is to keep shredded mozzarella cheese, sprinkle a bit on, slice up some
cherry tomatoes, add on top, and toss in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. You
can drizzle with a touch of EVOO if you’d like. Yum.
Take out the Cheese add in some raisins and almonds and you've got just as much if not more calcium! X
